The Power of Saying NO!
I recently began reading a book called Essentialism and in the spirit of the core teachings offered by the author, I will keep today's post short and to the point.
I want to offer you 3 top tips that will support you inspiring others and making the world better for them.
1. Recognise your value.
2. Figure out what your highest contribution to humanity is.
3. Learn to say NO.
✨Recognising your value is a crucial step in offering your unique contribution to the world because if you aren't able to see the value that you have to offer, how will anybody else?
Practical Tip: Make a list of all of the skills and expertise you have. This can include courses and qualifications as well as things that don't receive a certificate like being a loving Mum or a fantastic friend.
✨Once you have begun to understand the skills and expertise you have, combine them with your unique viewpoint on the world and take time to contemplate how that can help and inspire those around you.
Practical Tip: Make a list of 2-3 life experiences that changed you in some way; times where you felt your life shift. Take note of why these experiences have led you to feel passionate about the things you feel passionate about.
✨Saying No is difficult for a lot of us because we feel that in order to help and support those around us we have to say Yes to every invitation, phone call, and reach for support. The truth is, in order to stay nourished, energised, and aligned with our highest contribution in this life, we have to get used to saying No.
