Why Positivity is Important
We are living in an era where it is widely considered to be "all about the vibes". But what does it actually mean?
Have you ever stopped to consider what that guy in the rave is actually saying when he shouts "sick vibes" to his friends over the heavy drum and bass?
What is your oh so spiritual Yoga Teacher actually trying to tell you when she floats around the room saying "tune into your vibration".
And what is the intellectual scientist trying to illustrate with his in depth descriptions of waves and frequencies?
I believe in their own way they are all echoing this simple truth,
high vibration just basically means feeling good.
That's it.
When you are feeling good aka positive, you are in a high vibrational frequency.
When you are feeling bad aka negative, you are in a low vibrational state.
It really is that simple.
So, why is positivity important? Why does it matter?
Positivity or feeling good is your way of knowing how connected you are; connected to yourself, to your loved ones, to the universe. When you experience good feelings you are in a state of flow and ease.
From a place of flow and ease you are able to help and inspire others more effectively and joyfully. If we are to zoom out for a moment and imagine a world where everyone is able to maintain states of flow and ease and able to help and inspire one another, it seems like we've got a much healthier and happier world than the one we are presently experiencing.
Would you agree?
As individuals, if we can learn to consciously create feelings of peace, joy, and security within ourselves then we are moving significantly closer to being able to actualise this on a collective level.
Do you feel able to consciously conduct your own mood throughout the day?
Last year, I read an excellent book about the Law of Attraction and it offered great insight in the form of a practical guide to doing just this. The simple answer is emotions.
Our emotions, as described in the book, are our in built, natural, GPS system. They have an undeniable way of telling us whether something is good for us or not. Unfortunately, a lot of us have lost touch with the intuitive nature of listening to our bodies and energies, favouring instead the linear over drive of the thinking mind.
Just like google maps, our emotions indicate whether we are heading in the right direction or the wrong direction. If something feels good, nourishing, fulfilling, then it is a clear sign that you are moving in the right direction. If something feels bad, draining, unsatisfying then it is a clear sign that you are moving in the wrong direction and it is time to correct your course.
Maybe you eat beyond your stomach's capacity.
Maybe you are refusing to acknowledge or adjust a toxic pattern within your own behaviour.
How many times will you ignore a wrong turn on your journey?
There is no shame or blame here, we are all students, we are all learning. Perhaps after reading this you will feel compelled to make a commitment to yourself; to start tuning in and listening to what your emotions have to tell you.
Emotions are simply energy in motion; waves, vibration. They carry a message, they carry wisdom; they are the key to raising and maintaining your vibrational state of being and further still, they carry the very information that you require to fulfil your purpose, and live a sustainably happy and peaceful life.
So, there we have it, your practical guide to keeping your vibe high. I hope that this is a little gem of wisdom that will stay with you so that next time you are not feeling good, you will notice, and you will take action to adjust your direction. We all have a purpose in this life, and it is my wish that you are able to fulfil yours with flow and ease, truly enjoying the ride along the way.
When your vibe is high, it emanates all around you for others to feel.
When your light is bright, it radiates all around for others to see.
When you are feeling good, it helps others to feel good.
And who knows, maybe next time you're in the rave, that drum and bass guy will be shouting "sick vibez" about you and your incredible dancing as you light up the room with your radiant feelings of goodness.
So much love from me to you,
Ciara Nicole X
